Critical Infrastructure Engineer III

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Critical Infrastructure Engineer III to join Flexential's team. This position involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment for assigned data center(s) to maintain mission-critical uptime. As a high-level resource, you will contribute technical expertise to enhance operational efficiency and engage in cross-market initiatives.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• 24x7 facility on-call responsibility.
• Maintain mission-critical equipment for 99.999% uptime.
• Drive operational excellence and disaster recovery efforts.
• Read technical documents and propose solutions for operational constraints.
• Conduct maintenance activities and create operational procedures.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of data center experience.
• Experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of building automation and critical infrastructure environments.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems in data centers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical certifications preferred.
• 8+ years of data center experience focusing on building operations.
• High technical depth and complexity.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform various physical tasks and lift weights.
• Travel occasionally as needed.
