Job Description

The Data Center Operations Technician I position at Flexential is an integral role responsible for providing physical and Level II technical support to customers and resources. This 24x7x365 position requires a solid understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, and PC troubleshooting. The ideal candidate must be able to handle customer interactions professionally and technically, maintaining a calm demeanor.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions

• Provide timely resolution and escalation of Facility and customer issues.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and document them using the Flexential ticketing system.
• Maintain Data Center cleanliness and perform Facilities Rounds.
• Support 24/7 operations and assist in physical and logical installations of services.
• Operate and Manage Badge Access Security System.

Required Qualifications

• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Understanding of Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
• Preferably 1 year of experience in an IT Support environment.
• Relevant certifications such as Network+, Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft MCP/MCSA are a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders and work aloft.
• Capability to work in cold temperatures and lift heavy objects.
• Proficiency in pulling and installing cabling.
