Data Center Operations Technician I

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Data Center Operations Technician I to join our team at Flexential. This role involves providing physical and Level II technical support to our customers and resources. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. The position requires a professional and technical representation of Flexential during interactions with customers and internal resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely resolution and/or escalation of facility and customer issues.
• Maintain a professional attitude while performing data center duties.
• Troubleshoot and document technical issues using the Flexential ticketing system.
• Follow Flexential Support and Data Center policies, processes, and procedures.
• Assist with physical and logical installations of Flexential services.
• Operate and manage the Badge Access Security System.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Passion for providing excellent customer experiences.
• Understanding of Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
• Self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Preferably 1 year of experience in an IT Support environment.
• Network +, Security +, and/or CCNA certifications desired.
• Microsoft MCP or MCSA certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Able to work in cold temperature environments.
• Capable of maneuvering pallet jacks and lifting heavy objects.
• Competent in pulling and installing cabling.
