Job Description
The Data Center Operations Technician I at Flexential is a crucial position responsible for providing physical and Level II technical support to customers and resources. This role requires a solid understanding of Facilities infrastructure, Windows operating systems, PC troubleshooting, and management applications. The Technician must maintain professionalism while interacting with customers and internal resources and adhere to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions
- Provide timely resolution and escalation of Facility and customer issues.
- Maintain a professional attitude and conduct in daily data center operations.
- Troubleshoot and document technical issues using the ticketing system.
- Follow Support and Data Center policies, processes, and procedures.
- Assist with installations, cleanliness, and security of the Data Center.
- Perform Facilities Rounds and manage shipping/receiving processes.
- Support 24/7 operations and handle physical and logical installations.
- Collaborate with Critical Infrastructure Manager and local management.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Passion for customer experience.
- Understanding of Windows and Microsoft Operating systems.
- Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
- Attention to detail, commitment, and meeting deadlines.
- Preferably 1 year of IT Support experience.
- AA, BS, or High School Diploma.
- Desired certifications: Network +, Security +, CCNA, Microsoft MCP, or MCSA.
Physical Requirements
- Able to climb ladders, work aloft, work in cold environments, maneuver heavy objects, and install cabling.
Hourly Pay Range
- The hourly pay range for this position is estimated to be $20.30 - $23.81, depending on experience, location, and qualifications.
