Job Description
New England College of Optometry (NECO) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our Boston Clinic team. As the Patient Care Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer service and operational efficiency. This full-time position involves managing multiple priorities, assisting patients at the front desk, and providing support to staff and doctors.
Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and greet patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Schedule appointments, follow up with patients, and handle billing inquiries.
- Maintain patient records, ensure HIPAA compliance, and promote culturally competent care.
- Assist with order processing, dispense contact lenses, and support clinic operations.
- Work collaboratively with the team, adapt to a fast-paced environment, and perform administrative duties as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of customer service experience, ideally in a healthcare setting.
- Proficiency in Spanish or Creole is a plus.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to use technology effectively, including Microsoft Office and practice management software.
- High school diploma required.
