RN - Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team at ThedaCare in Berlin, Wisconsin. As an RN Clinical Nurse (Skilled), you will provide patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care across the continuum through a collaborative approach to treatment, research, education, and advocacy. Your role involves planning and delivering compassionate and high-quality care within the scope of practice defined by the Wisconsin Board of Nursing and ThedaCare policy.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and inter-professional teams.
• Demonstrate clinical expertise in the assigned specialty, ensuring age-appropriate and culturally specific care.
• Identify opportunities for improving patient care processes, enhancing quality, and optimizing costs.
• Promote a professional environment that fosters mentorship, engagement, and development.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to enhance patient care and solve challenges.
• Manage risks effectively and demonstrate proficiency in emergency situations.

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN Licensure.
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physical Demands

• Ability to move freely and lift up to Fifty (50) pounds without assistance.
• Exposure to blood borne pathogens and manual dexterity required.

Work Environment

• Exposure to sharp objects, chemical substances, and potential communicable diseases.
• Standing and walking for extended periods and patient/equipment transportation involved.
• Possible contact with aggressive patients and hazardous materials.
