STNA State Tested Nurse Aide

Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) to join our team at Charter Senior Living of Oak Openings. As a caregiver, you will provide essential support to residents in our Assisted Living and/or Memory Care Program(s) to help them with their daily activities, maintain their dignity, and improve their quality of life. Your role will involve following care plans, assisting with daily tasks, providing emotional support, ensuring residents' safety, and upholding their independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, and other daily living activities.
• Follow care schedules and communicate any resident issues to supervisors.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents while maintaining their confidentiality and dignity.
• Attend training sessions and follow all organizational policies and procedures.
• Maintain a safe environment, prevent accidents, and act professionally towards residents and colleagues.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification as a CNA, STNA, GNA, CHHA, or similar caregiver certification as per state regulations.
• CPR/First Aid Certification may be necessary.
• Ability to work with elderly populations with empathy and understanding.
• Excellent communication skills, teamwork abilities, and capacity to handle pressure.
