Youth Counselor

Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Residential Youth Counselor to join our team at Mount Prospect Academy in Warren, New Hampshire. As a Youth Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting at-risk youth, providing mentorship, guidance, and care in a residential setting. Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor students, including crisis management and role modeling appropriate behavior.
• Implement social and recreational activities for residents.
• Provide care and psychosocial education according to individual treatment plans.
• Teach daily living skills, meal preparation, hygiene practices, and more to help residents integrate back into the community.
• Develop positive relationships to refine social and interpersonal skills of residents.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree, 60 college credits, 2 years' full-time child-related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license preferred and background checks required.
• Passion for working with children and adolescents in a supportive and caring manner.
