Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Assistant General Manager to join the Holiday Inn and Suites Gateway team. In this role, you will work closely with the General Manager to oversee all hotel operations, ensuring efficiency and guest satisfaction. You will be responsible for assigning duties to department heads, providing training, resolving guest complaints, and maintaining high standards of service quality.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the General Manager in day-to-day operations.
  • Assign duties to department heads and ensure adherence to hotel policies.
  • Conduct training for staff and department heads.
  • Act as the hotel's public relations director and promote the property within the industry.
  • Monitor guest feedback and resolve complaints in a timely manner.
  • Select and onboard new hotel staff.
  • Review employee performance and take appropriate actions.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Assist in key property issues, business planning, and emergency response.

Requirements

  • Strong management skills with the ability to delegate effectively.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Degree in hotel management or related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Experience as an Assistant General Manager or Executive Assistant Manager.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
