Job Description
We are looking for an Executive Director, Late Development Team Lead in the field of Oncology to join Jazz Pharmaceuticals, a global biopharmaceutical company focused on creating life-changing medicines for patients with serious diseases. As the Late Development Team Lead, you will play a critical role in leading the Late Development Team (LDT) to strategize and execute global product development plans, ensuring alignment with clinical, regulatory, and commercial strategies. You will be responsible for providing operational and strategic leadership to progress products from proof of concept to approval, optimizing value for patients and balancing risk and speed.
Responsibilities
- Lead one or more cross-functional Late Development Teams (LDTs) to execute product strategy from proof of concept to approval.
- Establish a vision and strategy for the product, leveraging input from critical functions and global teams.
- Develop Integrated Product Development Plans (iPDPs) for governance approval and oversee contributions for regulatory filings.
- Set clear expectations for team roles and responsibilities, promoting cohesiveness and optimizing performance.
- Mobilize and align the organization to execute on the approved product strategy, collaborating with key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Over 15 years of global multi-disciplinary drug development experience in pharma/biotech industry.
- Proven leadership in late-stage drug development with a track record of innovation and program success.
- Experience in late phase Solid Tumor Oncology drug development and regulatory submissions.
- Demonstrated ability to lead global cross-functional teams, influence without authority, and manage collaborations effectively.
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD) required.
