Job Description

We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in supervising day-to-day store activities, enhancing overall store performance, managing schedules, and fostering team development.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing action plans to enhance operational results.
  • Establish job responsibilities and performance expectations for team members.
  • Identify training opportunities to improve team performance.
  • Communicate company values and foster teamwork among employees.
  • Monitor the competitive environment and recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
  • Provide product feedback and recommendations for assortment optimization.
  • Participate in the store personnel interviewing process.
  • Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies.
  • Resolve operational customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader.
  • Maintain store cleanliness and proper stock levels.
  • Merchandise products effectively to drive sales.
  • Supervise team operations and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Comply with company policies and uphold document security and confidentiality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience in interpreting and applying company policies and procedures.
  • Previous retail management experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
