Job Description
We are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Aldi. As the Assistant Store Manager, you will play a crucial role in supervising day-to-day store activities, enhancing overall store performance, managing schedules, and fostering team development.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing action plans to enhance operational results.
- Establish job responsibilities and performance expectations for team members.
- Identify training opportunities to improve team performance.
- Communicate company values and foster teamwork among employees.
- Monitor the competitive environment and recommend adjustments to maintain competitiveness.
- Provide product feedback and recommendations for assortment optimization.
- Participate in the store personnel interviewing process.
- Ensure adherence to inventory procedures, product handling guidelines, and cash control policies.
- Resolve operational customer concerns in the absence of the direct leader.
- Maintain store cleanliness and proper stock levels.
- Merchandise products effectively to drive sales.
- Supervise team operations and escalate issues when necessary.
- Comply with company policies and uphold document security and confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Experience in interpreting and applying company policies and procedures.
- Previous retail management experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
