Hiring Local City Driver / Forklift Operator, Full-time

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Local City Driver / Forklift Operator to join our team at ABF Freight in Brooklyn, NY. As part of our organization, you will engage in the pickup and delivery of cargo to various destinations, with responsibilities including loading and unloading trailers using standard procedures. General Description of Duties

• Conduct pickup and delivery operations in proximity to the consolidation/distribution center.
• Utilize proper techniques and technology for loading and unloading trailers.
• Day-to-day duties and schedules may vary by terminal location.

Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement of 21 years.
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (training options available for candidates with less experience).
• Hold a Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazardous materials endorsements without automatic restrictions.
• Demonstrate a stable work history with a safe driving record.
• Pass DOT pre-employment drug screening and meet medical requirements.

Pay Range: $27.23 to $30.26 per hour with overtime paid after 8 hours for full-time employees. Company-funded benefits are offered after a waiting period determined by local union.
