Job Description

We are looking for compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our team at Aveanna Healthcare. As the largest home health care company in the U.S., we provide quality care to patients in the comfort of their homes. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, delivering and documenting skilled nursing care according to the care plan and physician's orders.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
  • Assess patient condition, report changes, and implement necessary interventions.
  • Document all activities, assessments, and coordination of care accurately and promptly.
  • Educate patients and families on disease processes, self-care, and prevention strategies.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as an LPN.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance.
  • Additional state-specific requirements may apply.

Preferences

  • Recent experience as an LPN in a clinical care setting.
  • Home health care experience.

Skills/Abilities

  • Attention to detail.
  • Time management.
  • Effective problem-solving and good communication skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and reposition patients.
  • Must be able to travel, stand, bend, kneel, and climb stairs.
  • Visual, hearing, smell, and touch acuity required.
  • Appropriate response to emergency situations.

Environment

  • Must function in various environments, including exposure to allergens and infectious diseases.
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
