Overnight Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated Overnight Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to provide skilled nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering quality patient care, observing and assessing patient conditions, documenting care activities, and ensuring compliance with care plans.

Essential Job Functions

• Deliver and coordinate quality patient care according to physician orders.
• Continuously assess patient conditions and report changes to supervisors.
• Document all care activities and responses in a timely manner.
• Participate and update nursing care plans based on assessments.
• Implement nursing actions to achieve expected outcomes.
• Recognize and address changes in patient needs to prevent risks.
• Comply with Aveanna policies, regulations, and infection control measures.
• Educate patients and families on self-care techniques and disease prevention.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current state license as an LPN/LVN and CPR certification.
• Proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and nursing care.

Skills/Abilities

• Attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and organizational abilities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English and travel.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds and repositioning patients.
• Physical agility for prolonged standing, bending, and climbing stairs.
• Good visual, hearing, smell, and touch acuity.

Environment

Must be adaptable to various environments with potential exposure to allergens, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
