Overnight Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN)

Job Description

We are currently seeking an Overnight Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) to join our dedicated healthcare team at Aveanna Healthcare. As an LPN/LVN, you will provide skilled nursing care and support to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, following individual care plans and physicians' orders while upholding confidentiality and professional standards.

Essential Job Functions

• Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
• Observe and assess patient condition, report changes, and document care activities.
• Participate in developing and updating nursing care plans.
• Take necessary nursing actions based on assessments and achieve expected outcomes.
• Recognize and address changes in patient needs to prevent risks.
• Ensure compliance with Aveanna policies, regulations, and infection control measures.
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, self-care, and prevention strategies.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a state license.
• Current CPR certification and proficiency in clinical assessments and documentation.
• At least six months of recent experience in a clinical care setting.
• Home health experience preferred.

• Attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication, organization, and conflict resolution abilities.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds and assist with patient repositioning.
• Ability to perform physical tasks like walking, standing, bending, and climbing stairs.
• Visual, hearing, smell, and touch acuity required.

Environment

Must be adaptable to various environments, potentially exposing to allergens and infectious conditions.
