Patient Care Tech / PCT Med Surg

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Tech (PCT) to join our Med Surg team at Hillcrest Hospital Cushing in Cushing, OK. This full-time position on the day shift offers an opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives and contribute to a supportive healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities, including delivering meals, turning and ambulating patients.
• Provide personal hygiene support, such as assisting with baths, showers, and maintaining patient comfort.
• Administer adjunct care treatments like ice packs and non-sterile dressings under supervision.
• Monitor vital signs, record patient information, and collaborate with nurses and staff as needed.
• Adhere to professional standards, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Competency in at least two general areas of practice; cross-training is a plus.
• Must obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire or position transfer.
• Preferred qualifications include 2 years of experience in acute or long-term care, or current enrollment in nursing school.
