Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Phlebotomist to join the team at The University of Vermont Health Network. In this role, you will be responsible for performing phlebotomy specimen collections and providing direct and indirect nursing care to residents at Woodridge. The ideal candidate will have experience in venipunctures, urine specimen collection, and basic nursing care skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform phlebotomy services for adult residents.
  • Collect urine specimens and assist residents as needed.
  • Complete daily care needs, such as application of slings, feeding, and assistance with personal hygiene.
  • Record vital signs and observe changes in residents' condition.
  • Collaborate with coworkers and departments to improve quality of care.

Requirements

  • Completion of an approved phlebotomy course and venipuncture experience.
  • Certification in Phlebotomy is preferred.
  • Registered as a Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of Vermont.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.

Additional Information

  • No supervisory responsibilities.
  • Competency in organizing and adapting care for adult and geriatric groups.
