Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join The University of Vermont Health Network team. The Registered Nurse will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating care for post-procedural extended recovery and observational care patients within the Cardiac Vascular Care Unit. Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient outcomes, providing patient education, and collaborating with other healthcare disciplines.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current Registered Professional Nurse license in New York State.
• BLS or ACLS certification required; ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred.
• Completion of Cardiac Rhythm and Critical Care courses within 3 to 6 months.
• Demonstrates flexibility, willingness to learn, and ability to prioritize responsibilities.

The successful candidate will have the training to cater to the specific needs and behaviors of patients based on their age.
