Store Management Trainee

Job Description

We are looking for a Store Management Trainee to join our team at Aldi. As a trainee, you will be learning all aspects of successfully managing a store in preparation for eventually running your own. Your responsibilities will include supervising day-to-day store activities, ensuring overall store performance, managing schedules, identifying staffing needs, and developing operational action plans while providing mentorship and development for the team.

Position Details

• Position Type: Full-Time
• Estimated Hours: 45 hours per week
• Starting Wage: $26.25 per hour
• Earning Potential (Year 1): Up to $98,500 (inclusive of salary and bonus, location-dependent)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervising store operations and team performance to provide excellent customer service
• Communicating company values and ensuring a sense of teamwork among employees
• Handling customer concerns and maintaining store standards
• Assisting in the hiring process and managing staff schedules
• Conducting store meetings and performance evaluations
• Managing budgets and recommending adjustments to maintain competitiveness
• Ensuring a safe environment for all stakeholders
• Overseeing merchandising and maintaining stock levels

Job Qualifications

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Strong customer service and leadership skills
• Knowledge of retail policies and procedures
• Prior management experience preferred

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 3 years of retail experience
• Combination of education and experience in retail
