Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Store Operations Assistant to join our team at Aldi. As a Store Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the store's smooth operation by handling merchandising, cashiering, and maintaining cleanliness standards. Your exceptional customer service and teamwork will contribute to an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to company's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.).
• Process customer purchases, maintain cleanliness, and organize merchandise displays.
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with their shopping needs.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly with management.
• Contribute feedback on products, inventory, and operational issues to management.
• Participate in inventory counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
• Follow cash handling procedures to minimize discrepancies.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures while ensuring document security and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in providing prompt and courteous customer service.
• Skilled in operating a cash register accurately.
• Ability to operate store equipment safely and efficiently.
• Capable of maintaining cleanliness to company standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask efficiently.
• Meet state and local requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior retail work experience is advantageous.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
