Store Operations Assistant

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Store Operations Assistant to join the ALDI team. As a Store Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our store maintains high standards of merchandising and customer service. Your responsibilities will include stocking products, cashiering, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ALDI's Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.)
• Process customer purchases, stock shelves, and maintain merchandise displays
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers during their shopping experience
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management
• Offer feedback to management on products, inventory, and overall store operations
• Participate in store inventory counts and ensure inventory accuracy
• Follow cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
• Adhere to company policies, uphold security standards, and maintain confidentiality of information

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Efficient operation of a cash register
• Capable of safely using equipment like hand jacks and floor scrubbers
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to work independently and within a team
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask efficiently
• Compliance with state and local regulations for selling alcoholic beverages

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior retail work experience is a plus
• Equivalent education and experience will be considered
